2010 Houston Free Press Summerfest
The 2010 Houston Free Press Summerfest was a great succes. With over 10,000 in attendance to see Slim Thug, Bun B and the Flaming Lips along with 50+ other local and regional bands, Jagi Katial and Omar Afra produced a great music festival for the city of Houston which I can only hope can continue for years to come. There were lots of food vendors with a nice variety of foods to snack on from vegan tacos, traditional corndogs, greek food as well as delicious Asian stir-fry. The food prices ranged from $5-10, and though the only beer that was served was Lonestar and Dos XX (2 of my favorites, $5 each), there could have been a larger variety, which I’m sure will be taken care of next time around. If you happen to visit Houston sometime next summer, make sure to mark your calendars for Houston’s Summerfest!
